Ceria 2024 Conference
You are kindly invited to participate at the »4th International Conference on Fundamentals and Applications of Cerium Dioxide in Catalysis (Ceria 2024)«, which will be held from 17-20 September 2024 in Grand Hotel Bernardin Convention Center in Portorož-Portorose, Slovenia. The event is organized by the Catalysis Division of the Slovenian Chemical Society.
The Ceria 2024 Conference, which builds on the success of three international conferences on the topic held in Udine (Italy), Beijing (China) and Barcelona (Spain), will bring together outstanding researchers to discuss on the general aspects of catalysis by ceria and related materials, recent advances regarding synthesis, in situ and operando characterization and testing heterogeneous catalysts as well as multi-scale modelling of catalytic processes involving this peculiar catalytic material. More information about the event is available on the conference webpage at: https://ceria2024.chem-soc.si/.
Master and doctoral students, early-stage researchers as well as PIs being involved in the above-mentioned topics, are strongly encouraged to attend the event. More than ten worldwide known experts will deliver plenary and invited lectures and report about the latest most exciting developments in the area of catalysis by ceria. The Ceria 2024 Conference participants will be able to present the results of their research work in the form of oral presentations and poster contributions, thus expanding the boundaries of the discussion. A student paper contest will be organized as well as an integral part of the conference.
The conference participants will benefit from a fruitful conference programme organized in a stimulating environment. In order to foster an inclusive environment and personal connections between participants, there will be no parallel sessions. The Ceria 2024 Conference which will be held simultaneoulsy with the 30th Annual Meeting of the Slovenian Chemical Society, will represent an opportunity for researchers to share their common passion about ceria and to get an insight into the diversity of research fields of chemistry. Finally, a rich social programme will be arranged (covered by the registration fee) that will include a guided tour to the medieval town of Piran-Pirano.
