Inorganic chemistry nomenclature
Language: Slovenian
Chemical nomenclature or unified and unambiguous description of chemical elements and compounds, respectively, is of paramount importance for successful communication between scientists. With the development of chemistry and the whole general science, a plethora of chemical compounds have been synthesized in the past. This trend is expected to further increase in the future. This calls out for a unified naming of chemical compounds. International Union of Pure and Applied Chemistry (IUPAC) is the main entity to tackle this challenge.
The new edition from 2008 contains nearly 400 pages of technically very demanding text. Slovenian translation was prepared by Andrej Šmalc, reviewed and edited by Primož Šegedin.
Release of the book was so-financed by Slovenian Research Agency.
